Founded in 2009, Sankofa Support Services Inc. (previously known as Goodwill Support Services) is committed to alleviating the causes of family poverty. When single mothers, who are a result of broken families, are suffering we feel the need to reach to them and give them hope. We do that both by educating them way to take care of their kid(s) or by providing basic necessities. Among such basic items are: diapers, foodstuff, hygiene materials, and sometimes clothing. At the moment we are not in position to offer financial support due to our limited financial position. However, we believe the spirit of Sankofa will bless us to be financially stable and provide finances to these single mothers.

George Tuffour | President, SSS Inc.

George Tuffour serves as founder and President of Sankofa Support Services Inc. Along with his role as president for Sankofa Support Services Inc., George holds a supervisor position for the Alternative Support Inc./DDS.

Over the years, George has been searching for ways to help people with problematic issues to improve their daily life. His educational and professional pursuits give him the experience in working with people that have physical and mental health issues. His passion is to help counsel individuals, couples, and families, or in group sessions of people with similar problems. He has a very strong interest in helping others and the ability to inspire trust, confidence, and respect. As president of Sankofa Support Services Inc., he plans to promote optimal health, well-being and tackle many areas in life that people deal with such as marital problems, stress management, substance abuse, addictions, parenting problems, family problems, suicidal ideation, and problems with self-esteem. His goal is to alleviate the causes of family poverty in the Lowell, MA community. Education, health, housing, and neighborhood development programs are just some of the ways in which he wants to work on to and help the community. Helping others to improve their lives is his mission in life.
